17 BEST Places to Eat in Maui (Tested & Approved)

By now you all know our favorite thing to do when visiting a new city or place is to check out the best places to eat. After talking to locals, and asking for recommendations, we've gathered a list of our favorite places to chow down, read on for a location based list of where to eat on the Island of Maui.

While in Maui we stayed at Lumeria Resort and loved it!

Our Essential Travel Resources :
​There are a lot of travel companies out there, but some are better than others. These are our favorite websites and resources to help you plan an incredible trip.

For flights, we recommend using WayAway or Hopper to compare the cheapest dates to travel to your destination.

Car rentals comparisons are best through Discover Cars - just make sure to bring your international driver's permit with you if you're heading somewhere international!

We always use AGODA for hotels. They have an easy-to-use platform where you can compare the best rates.

To keep cell phone service if you're traveling internationally, we always use Airalo’s easy to purchase eSIM’s (no installation required), and always use NordVPN to stay safe while connecting to different wifi connections.

For fun things to do, we always recommend Viator to find the best tours in the area, otherwise Klook also does the trick, especially for tours in Asia.

Just in case, Safetywing is the insurance I always use for travel insurance.

Best Places to Eat Near Paia

The Boba Bar

Paia Fish Market

Flatbread Company

• The Boba Bar - a delicious boba tea bar in downtown Paia, they also have some great desserts like cookies!
• Paia Fish Market Restaurant - you'll be able to find this restaurant simply by the line waiting out the door, our favorite was the Mahi Burger!
• Flatbread Company - a great flatbread pizza company right downtown Paia that has plenty of veggie and vegan options as well!​​

Cafe des Amis

Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice

• Paia Gelato - you can't ever go wrong with ice cream! (or gelato)
• Cafe des Amis - a great Mediterranean and Indian mix, we got their hummus platter and it was enough for a meal for the two of us!
• ​​Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice - Ululani's is known for having the best shaved ice on the island, and we highly recommend! (we added mochi on ours and it was amazing, PLUS they have multiple locations throughout the island)

Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm

Halfway to Hana

• Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm - this might seem random, but we highly recommend stopping at their cafe for some unique lavender infused sweets and treats (lavender coffee, tea, brownies, sweet potato chips, honey, etc.)
• Lumeria Resort and Spa - another stop that might seem random, they have a restaurant onsite that is also open to the public with great fresh foods!
• Halfway to Hana - technically located near Ke'anae (just about halfway to Hana) they claim to have the best Banana Bread in Hawaii! 

Best Places to Eat Near Lahaina

Down the Hatch

Belle Surf Cafe

Paia Fish Market

• Down the Hatch, Lahaina - located right on the main road in town, their Shrimp Po'Boy was amazing!
• Belle Surf Cafe, Lahaina - an adorable cafe tucked away right off the main street, they have great smoothie bowls!
• Paia Fish Market - (the same restaurant located in Paia - again highly recommend the Maui Burger)
• Fleetwood's on Front St. - a great seafood spot located right downtown
• Waikiki Brewing Company - a perfect spot to relax and have some drinks and food

Best Places to Eat Near Kahului

Wailuku Coffee Company

Pearl's Korean BBQ

• Wailuku Coffee Company - a local coffee shop with great breakfast sandwiches, wraps, and bagels!
• ​Pearl's Korean BBQ - located inside the Queen Ka'ahumanu Center food court, they had some great bibimbap and dumpling soup!
• ​7/11 or ABC Stores - yes ok I know how weird this sounds, BUT these two places have the best spam musubis, and they're the perfect snack or meal!
