Our Essential Travel Resources :
There are plenty of travel companies, but these are our favorite websites and resources for planning an unforgettable trip. This post may contain affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Car rentals are best through Discover Cars - just make sure to bring your international driver's permit with you! We always use Expedia's easy to use platform for comparing hotels. To keep cell service while traveling, we always use Airalo’s easy eSIM’s (no installation required). For fun things to do, we always recommend Viator to find the best tours in the America's and Europe, and Klook for tours in Asia. Just in case, Safetywing is what we use for travel insurance. Lastly, our packing list for any international or domestic travels. 12 Best Places to Eat in Canggu
Cafe Vida - one of our favorite stops in Canggu, this place was so HEALTHY, and their entire kitchen is gluten free! we loved their smoothie bowl and "Dr. Seuss" plate (green eggs with pesto and veggies)
The Common - we found this spot due to it's proximity to our Airbnb, they had excellent tacos and nachos (we tried the fish taco and tofu tacos!) and we've heard they also have excellent margaritas
Mad Pops - a super cute vegan, coconut based ice cream shop!
Bagel It! - a delicious bagel sandwich shop with plenty of vegan options as well, we also loved the fact that each bagel purchase came with a free fresh pressed orange juice!
Heyy Juice - after being on the road for 4 full months, to say I missed my cold fresh pressed juices is an understatement - well we finally found them in this small shop! they have an endless menu of different juice options and we loved stocking up here!
Gustav Grun - we stopped here one day for a take out meal, and they were great! serving vegan bowls with a focus on soy proteins, their sauces and fresh veggies were delicious!
Nude - the cutest, small food truck serving all types of coffee right off of Canggu Beach
Ramen Hamartora - the best ramen we've ever had! (seriously!)
Beach Road by Milk and Madu - a great spot we found on the way to Canggu Beach, they had an excellent menu, including eggplant parmesan and fried cauliflower! (we've heard they also have excellent pizza!)
Monsieur Spoon - the best bakery located in town, they also had fresh pressed juices, delicious smothered toasts, and fresh baked items as well
Bali Luwak Coffee - a unique cafe located a ways out of Canggu, close to Tanah Lot - not only do they serve the infamous Luwak coffee (nicknamed the most expensive coffee in the world) but they have actual Luwaks in the cafe to pet and hang out with!
Places for Next Time and Some Places to Avoid
Luigis Hot Pizza - a popular pizza spot, that we think is very overrated, their food was mediocre at best, and first impressions were that it was more of a bar, we would avoid it
Burgreens - another spot we would avoid, we truly weren't impressed with their vegan menu, we tried the smoothie bowl, mushroom burger & salad, and boba milk tea all of which fell short of our expectations
Gelato Secrets - if you've been on the island of Bali for more than a few days then you'll notice this spot all over, in nearly every big city, however we didn't have a great experience and to us the flavors felt a bit plain
