Our Essential Travel Resources :
There are a lot of travel companies out there, but some are better than others. These are our favorite websites and resources to help you plan an incredible trip. For flights, we recommend using WayAway or Hopper to compare the cheapest dates to travel to your destination. Car rentals comparisons are best through Discover Cars - just make sure to bring your international driver's permit with you if you're heading somewhere international! We always use AGODA for hotels. They have an easy-to-use platform where you can compare the best rates. To keep cell phone service if you're traveling internationally, we always use Airalo’s easy to purchase eSIM’s (no installation required). For fun things to do, we always recommend Viator to find the best tours in the area, otherwise Klook also does the trick, especially for tours in Asia. Just in case, Safetywing is the insurance I always use for travel insurance. Lastly, my packing list for your international or domestic travels. Basecamp Resorts - Baker Creek
Our first stay was at Basecamp Resort's Baker Creek location. Situated inside Banff National Park and only about 10 minutes from Lake Louise and Lake Moraine, this was our favorite stay during our entire 3 week roadtrip through Canada. A cozy cabin in the woods simply does not do this place justice. With a stunning property, cozy amenities, and incredible views from the river-side fire pits, we fell in love and our 4 days there simply was not enough. They also have picnic tables and grills, parking, and wood for the wood fire stoves. They also gifted us a pack of freshly ground coffee beans and had great working Wi-Fi. Since we visited in the off season, prices were a bit cheaper, however even if more expensive we would without a doubt rebook the next time we make it back to the Banff area. You can see a full tour of our cabin in the YT video below!
Basecamp Resorts - Northwinds
Our second stay was at Basecamp Resorts Northwinds location, in Canmore about 10 minutes outside Banff National Park. Although not as "cozy" as Baker Creek, this stay was just as comfortable with sweeping views of the Canadian Rocky Mountains and spacious rooms. We would whole heartedly recommend a stay here if you're looking for to stay in an area that is a bit quieter than the park itself!
