Although our time in Pushkar was just a mere 48 hours, we put together this short guide to make your visit easier than ours! The main reason people visit Pushkar is to worship the Lord Brahma, Pushkar is the only place in India to have a temple dedicated to him and the town is known as being a "holy" city where drinking and drugs aren't allowed. You'll also notice many expats here - our guide called it the "hippie" town, which you'll more than likely also notice on your own. Something to note is that we found the locals in Pushkar to be very aggressive and pushy (pun not intended) - we were harassed and bothered here more than any other city we visited in India, verbally and physically. However, the city itself is beautiful, and there are some very unique things to do in the area! We would just highly recommend that you stay aware of your belongings, and never follow anyone or take any free flowers from anyone. On that note, we've gathered our best recommendations for where to stay, places to eat, and the best things to do in the Pushkar area!

Best Things to Do in Pushkar
Pushkar might seem like a laid back town to relax at, however there is quite a bit to do if you're looking for an adventure! Our best recommendations for things to do in Pushkar are :
