During our month in India, we were lucky to be able to stop in Udaipur for a few days to explore. Before we get too far into it, we want to share that Udaipur instantly became one of our favorite places we visited in India, not only is it much more peaceful than other areas in Rajasthan, but the lake at the center of town was truly beautiful. So much so, that Udaipur is in fact known as a place where many people come to have their wedding celebrations, even Bollywood stars! In this guide we've gathered some tips on places to stay and eat, and of course, the best things to do while you're visiting Udaipur!
Where to Stay
During our visit in Udaipur we stayed at the Boheda Palace - it was within walking distance of Pichola Lake and the city center, while having a beautiful upstairs dining area with a view of the Palace and being far enough away to seem peaceful and quiet.
Places to Eat
Udaipur has many great places to eat, with a large percentage of them being rooftops overlooking the many lakes in the area. Our go to was the Rainbow Cafe - they had great food with beautiful views of Pichola Lake, and an awesome cold coffee. Some other options we would recommend are :

Although we were only in Udaipur for a few short days, we were truly surprised at just how much there was to do in this town!
